“The Unbelievable” is a typical coup film, in the tradition of the Ocean’s trilogy. The idea that magicians take on the role of the protagonists I found very promising, since such a coup so very much works like a magic trick. Unfortunately, The Unbelievable has not become as good as I had hoped.
What I liked, though, was the extraordinary cast. So, we meet, among others, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Jesse Eisenberg. The actors are actually all good. This also brings a lot to the dialogues. That’s how one or two funny conversations arise.
At this point of criticism try usually in a few key words to mention the themes of the film. But here lies the first problem of the film.
